Since it's not guaranteed you'll get the time-sensitive trophies on this first run, they won't be listed until Step 3.Īfter this first run, the only trophy you are guaranteed to get is: You don't have to worry too much about the miscellaneous trophies since those can be earned through Chapter Select. There's a chance the trophy will still unlock even if you take longer than an hour to complete the game (I did 3 separate runs of the game, each taking between 1 1/2 - 2 hours and each time the trophy unlocked even though I passed the 1 hour mark). As mentioned in the Overview, Escapologist is currently glitched but it might work out in your favor.

The game isn't to terribly long and the puzzles aren't super crazy (just as a reference to other games, I personally found it to be milestones easier than the Witness and not as stressful as Maquette or Subliminal so take that as you will if you've played those games). There's a pretty good chance you'll get at least two of the time-sensitive trophies done on your first run. While time is working against him, it might end up being the greatest gift of all. In order to escape, he'll need to complete a variety of puzzles within the painting but even with the task at hand, the artist must decide if leaving the beautiful painting is worth going back to the reality outside. Willing to do anything to escape the realities of his life, the artist accepts the offer and is quickly transported into the painting he is currently working on, a gorgeous landscape that dramatically contrasts the dark room he was working in. The only catch is that the man must escape the painting by midnight or be stuck in the canvas forever.

When a lonely artist living in a war-ravaged city is visited by a strange man, he's given the opportunity to escape into one of his own paintings, allowing him a chance to live in a world far from the terrors of war.
